Damp and Mould Prevention in Properties

Here is a guide complied by Weekes Estate Agents for landlords and tenants alike with advice on how to avoid mould.

This is a useful guide for tenants. It can be printed two sided, laminated and left at the property.

Damp and Mould Prevention Fact Sheet

It explains how when cooking, bathing, drying clothes and even just breathing we put moisture in the air around us. That moisture remains in the room unless it is ventilated by opening a window.

It's really important not to dry clothes on radiators and in unventilated areas as it can cause damp patches. The air in a room should be refreshed regularly and many tenants particularly those in their early twenties living away from home for the first time do not realise the importance of this.
